Dr Shankar Sridharan is the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is a Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist specialising in all types of heart problems affecting babies, children and adolescents. His NHS practice is based at Great Ormond Street Hospital, London where he has worked for 15 years. He is also Six Sigma qualified (Black Belt certified).
The focus of his CCIO role is helping to develop and implement a digital strategy for the care delivered to their patients. The CCIO plans to connect digital healthcare for the children it looks after and he and his team have started the process of creating a pathway wide, accessible, and relevant health record to benefit patient understanding and improve care delivery. Shankar hopes to harness technology and data to deliver optimised, kinder and more cognitive medicine.
